For many of our users having a backup fully encrypted is ensuring trust that their backup will never be read by anyone else but them.
It's for that reason that we've been allowing backup encryption on all our plans since day one.
We use AES-256 to encrypt your backups using your key via OpenSSL.
Using this method is highly recommended since you are the only one who can actually read your own backups, no one else can.
