# Notifications

Advanced notifications for your backups

We support **email**, **Slack**, **Discord**, **Microsoft Teams**, **Pushover** real-time notifications.

You receive both, success and error notifications when you run backups on-demand.

For scheduled backups, you only receive notifications for backup failures after all retries are exhausted.

You may select to receive both types of notifications all the time.

## Configure notification channels

By default, you'll receive an **email notification** whenever a backup fails. You can disable this option from the "Notifications" tab of your backup.

You can enable backup error notifications to be sent to Slack, Discord, and Microsoft Teams on that page too.

## Configure notification email

Sometimes you may want to forward all backup notification emails to your developer to have him/her take action if backups fail.

In this case you can change the backup notification email in your SimpleBackups account by following these steps:

- Log in to your account.
- Go to the **[team settings page](https://my.simplebackups.com/team-settings)****.**
- Under the _**Team Settings**_ area, change the _**Notification email**_ to the desired email address.

## Microsoft Teams Integration

1. In Microsoft Teams, select **Manage channel** for the channel you would like notifications to be sent to and then under **Connectors** select **Edit**.
2. Search for **Incoming Webhook** and select **Configure**.
3. Provide a name for the webhook and select **Create**.
4. Copy the **Incoming Webhook URL** and select **Done**.
5. In SimpleBackups, set up the Microsoft Teams integration from the **Dashboard > Projects & Controls > Create Notification Channels**, then select **Microsoft Teams** from the **Channel** list.
6. Paste the **Incoming Webhook URL** and select **Save Channel**.

**Tip:**
To send notifications to multiple channels, follow the above instructions for those channels and configure additional integrations in SimpleBackups.
