You can find a list of the most common error codes you may and their explanations below.

# Error codes

# Error ES900

Sometimes displayed as:

"your account key is missing, please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups."

It means that SimpleBackups is not connected correctly to this server anymore. To solve the issue, you either need to:

  • Edit your server from SimpleBackups dashboard and re-enter your SSH username, password
  • Or, if you use an SSH key to connect to your servers, you will need to re-run the server connection command displayed on your SimpleBackups servers dashboard.

# Error ES905

Sometimes displayed as:

"connection to this server has been invalidated, please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups."

It could mean a few things:

  1. SimpleBackups is unable to confirm that this server still belongs to your account
  2. Your have changed your SimpleBackups temporary directory from the dashboard and have not validated server connection afterwards

To solve the issue, you either need to:

  • Edit your server from SimpleBackups dashboard and re-enter your SSH username, password
  • Or, if you use an SSH key to connect to your servers, you will need to re-run the server connection command displayed on your SimpleBackups servers dashboard.

# Error ES910

Could not switch to the operations/temp directory before starting a backup. Either repeat the backup run or re-connect your server to SimpleBackups.

# Error ES915

"Please reconnect your server to SimpleBackups"

To solve the issue, you either need to:

  • Edit your server from SimpleBackups dashboard and re-enter your SSH username, password
  • Or, if you use an SSH key to connect to your servers, you will need to re-run the server connection command displayed on your SimpleBackups servers dashboard.
