Changelog - July 2026 #1

FeatureImprovement

Notion Backups

  • Restores show their work. Sub-pages now render directly in the restore preview instead of hiding behind a click.
  • One prompt, not two. Resuming an encrypted restore no longer asks for your decryption key twice.
  • Built for big workspaces. Large Notion workspaces are far less likely to time out mid-restore.
  • Nested content behaves. Container blocks with nested children now restore inline, in the right place, every time.
  • Failure counts you can trust. A restore that partially fails now says exactly that, instead of rounding up to "success."
  • Handles Notion's slow days. Restores recover automatically when Notion's service is temporarily overloaded.

Databases

  • PlanetScale, uncompressed. Uncompressed PlanetScale backups now support multi-file encryption and restore, matching the compressed path.
  • MySQL tables, individually. Multi-table backups now produce a file per table, so you can restore exactly the table you need.
  • Cleaner DigitalOcean backups. All-database backups now include only your actual databases, nothing extra.
  • Real errors, not generic ones. Managed Redis and Postgres streaming backups now show the actual provider error message.

Backups & Reliability

  • Encryption toggle tells the truth. Fixed a display bug where an active encryption setting could show as off.
  • Restore, even after a failed run. The restore tab is no longer disabled just because the last backup run didn't succeed.
  • Knack filtering is back. Restored the advanced filtering options in the Knack backup form after a regression dropped them.

Billing & Plans

  • Admins can see the payment method. Team admins now have visibility into the saved payment method, not just owners.
  • New: Advanced Ultra on DigitalOcean. A higher-bandwidth marketplace plan for teams outgrowing the standard tiers.

Interface & Security

  • Dark mode, fixed properly. Resolved several contrast and legibility issues across dark mode.
  • 2FA takes it seriously. Disabling two-factor authentication now requires your current password.
