Changelog - May 2026 #1

FeatureImprovement

What's New

  • Back up Notion Databases and Datasources: You can now add Notion Databases and Datasources as a dedicated backup source, keeping that workspace content in sync alongside everything else you protect.

Notion Backups

  • Cleaner restores from mounted volumes: Notion recipe backups no longer bury your export inside a deep folder path. Restores land cleanly, with no nested folders to dig through.
  • Small backups are no longer flagged as failures: Genuinely small Notion backups were sometimes rejected with a "suspiciously small" warning even when the content was valid. The threshold now accounts for legitimately small workspaces.

Backups & Reliability

  • Fewer redundant retries: Backups that are paused or locked no longer kick off extra retry attempts after the first run.
  • Accurate usage after deleting a project: Removing a project now updates your plan usage right away, so limits stay correct.
  • More reliable snapshots: Resolved issue affecting Outscale and Scaleway snapshot backups.
  • Supabase backups: Fixed backups failing with an authentication error after reconnecting, and Supabase discovery no longer gets stuck on "scanning" if a background job stops. Pooler connection strings are now caught up front with a one-click switch to the required direct connection string, instead of passing validation and then failing at backup time.
  • PlanetScale (Vitess): Backup streaming is now disabled where it isn't supported, preventing a confusing runtime error.
  • Managed MySQL: Fixed database listing issues for certain OVH-managed MySQL setups.
  • Truthful backup reports: Reports no longer count logs from a failed first attempt when a later retry succeeded, so your numbers reflect what actually happened.

Storage

  • Object Lock buckets: Storage validation no longer attempts to delete test files on immutable (Object Lock) buckets, which was causing valid connections to fail validation.
  • Storage settings accuracy: The storage edit form now correctly reflects the "Read-only" and "Object Locked" states.
  • DigitalOcean Spaces: Documented cold-storage buckets specific rules on filenames with special characters, along with recommended workarounds.

Billing & Teams

  • Team admins can manage billing: Admins can now handle the subscription, payment method, invoices, and plan changes. Cancellation stays owner-only for safety.
  • Add-on fixes: Removing an add-on on a yearly plan no longer affects unrelated usage limits, and the plan auditor now expands add-ons correctly so backups aren't locked unnecessarily.

Interface & Performance

  • Faster pages: Improved performances of several pages and polished the dashboard.
  • Richer notifications: Stack resource notifications now include the same team, user, and plan context used across other notifications.
