Storage backups
Replicate and back up your cloud storage buckets to a separate storage provider.
Storage backups let you create copies of data stored in cloud object storage services like AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, or Google Cloud Storage. SimpleBackups replicates your bucket contents to a different storage provider, giving you an independent off-site copy. This protects against accidental deletion, provider outages, and data corruption.
Why back up your cloud storage?
Storing backups on your own storage gives you full control over your data. Most providers do not protect against accidental deletion or account-level issues. By replicating to a separate provider, you ensure your data survives even if the original storage becomes unavailable.
Supported providers
SimpleBackups supports replication between any of the 30+ storage providers available on the platform. If you need a provider that is not listed, let us know.
Setting up a storage backup
To create a storage backup, go to Create new storage and follow the setup wizard. You will select a source bucket to back up and a destination storage to replicate to.
